Laodicea is getting me down!

Lately the Christian community is breaking my heart. I believe the bible, and the words of Yeshua(Jesus) when He said that the Holy Spirit will lead believers in all truth John 16:13. My own personal experiences in speaking with Christians, has led me to see much of the "Church" as fearful, ignorant, and prideful.

For the past year I have been traveling around my city and talking to different pastors about different biblical issues. Early in the year I went around showing the different pastors exactly where, in the book of Revelation, the rapture takes place and what leads up to it; Revelation 14:14-16 is the rapture, it occurs after the seventh trumpet of Revelation 11:15. I was smiled at, pat on the head, told "Wow, you read the bible a lot" and sent on my way. Recently I have written a book and have been taking it around to churches attempting to show Christians, strictly from the bible, when and why the angels were created. I was met by pastors of churches with fear, confusion and in one extreme case, outright anger accompanied with threats.

I choose to speak only with church pastors for a few specific reasons. First, I want to talk with a person who studies and teaches the bible because that person should be able to refute or verify what I am showing them using only the scriptures. Second, I do not want intimidate a less biblically sound believer, with issues that they may be unfamiliar with. Thirdly, if a pastor finds what I show them to be biblically sound, then that pastor can reach more people with the message, in one sermon, than I could in a year.

My experience has shown me the error of my thought process in regard to speaking with only the pastors. One of the pastors found, after studying the bible, that what I had showed him regarding the book of Revelation and the rapture, to be biblically accurate yet he told me that if he shared this news with the other pastors he could lose his job.

When did we stop relying on the Holy Spirit for understanding, when did we get so fearful of man, when did we get so harsh towards people searching for answers? As Christians, we should be able to defend our faith from the bible without anger or fear.
If you are interested in my book it is called "The Naked Truth of Angels and Man" by Maurice Louishomme, it is on www.amazon.com. This book deals primarily with the nature of the Angels and Man, I am currently in the process of writting the book that focuses on Daniel 9:24-27 as well as the rapture.
