Keeping The Law

It is popular belief that one is no longer required to keep the law, but this is a dangerous misconception in which adherence to this misconception is a non stop ticket to the lake of fire. What does the The Bible have to say concerning this? Rev. 2:7 says, "He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God." My simple question is this: How does one overcome in order to eat of The Tree of Life, and what has to be overcome? In order to eat of the Tree of Life, one has to overcome sin. What then is sin according to the Bible? 1John 3:4 clearly states that "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law:for sin is the transgression of the law." verse 6 states "Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him." verse 8 "He that committeth sin is of the devil;for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of evil." verse 9: "Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin:for his seed remainth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God." So how can one possibly say that the Law is not to be kept? If one says that then my next question would be What Bible were they reading? If one can't seem to grasp this, then lets go to Saint John 14:15, which states out of the mouth of Jesus: "If ye love me, keep my commandments." verse 21: "He that hath my commandents, and keepth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him." So, after reading these few scriptures, if one still believes that the Law is not to be kept. I will conclude the matter by going to Rev. 22:14, which states, "Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city." What is so wrong, and so hard in keeping the commandments of God? What is so hard about, Thou shalt not kill, steal, bear false witness, or commit adultery? I"ll tell you whats wrong with it- Nothing!
