Just Like Ants

There’re people here and people there
Like ants within a field
Yet people though we’re everywhere
Achieve not half their yield

Ants do the work to which they’re made
For which they’re on the earth
They’ll forage food on hill and glade
For when their queen gives birth

Exploring in the great unknown
In danger day and night
But ants will merge will stand as one
And put their foes to flight

When foes ten thousand times their size
Assail their fort like mound
How quick the enemy realise
That ants stand firm their ground

The ant should be of great concern
Should cause us thought today
Should show that we have much to learn
From nature’s great display

This nature that our Father planned
This planet sweet and cruel
Created by The Master’s hand
For man to love and rule

While ants are but a smaller part
And people made so great
For God has taken us to heart
Upon His name to wait

We too like ants should bring inside
Should seek the things we need
Until God’s church can birth the bride
