  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Jessie May

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. (James 1:2-4)

How does someone learn to Joyfully endure trials?

I was in the US Army. I hated running long distance. I saw myself as more of a sprinter. I hated doing a timed two mile run for my PT Test. After having been in the Army for several months, I worked on my running on my time. In the US Army, there are standards and men keeping the standards. I worked to be above the standard on my time so I was not being forced or pushed on someone else's time. I learned to enjoy running, and enjoy my trials.

Some music is upbeat. It frames some horrible things in a way that makes it endurable. The song "Jessie May" is a song about someone who went through something hard. It is upbeat, and it is hard not to smile.
