Listening to secular music could be a sin because it is not glorifying God. it promotes false messages about life and encourages some sinful actions. This song does not praise God, but the devil. It is also polluting the temple that God has created. It is counter-productive. God's Spirit cannot strive with any other spirit. The messages in secular music can carry with them certain demons. This is not supposed to be your portion. It is worldly and deadly to your spirit, soul and body! Don't fill your mind with garbage that can hinder your progress to God's kingdom. (Eph. 5.19, Phil 4:8, 1John 2:15-17, 1Cor. 10:31-33, 1Thes. 5:23)

ahmm. when you're christian and started hearing christian music, i encouraged you to sing and listen christian musics. it really is a blessing and there are some factors in christian musics that gives you joy and peace, and christian musics can touch your spirit and you just don't know that you're starting to worship God.
