I believe its by faith alone you be the judge of the following :
Luke 7:
47. "Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.''
48. And He said to her, "Your sins are forgiven.''
49. And those who sat at the table with Him began to say to themselves, "Who is this who even forgives sins?'' 50. Then He said to the woman, "Your faith has saved you. Go in peace. (Jesus knows what Hes talking about)
Luke 18:
40. So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be brought to Him. And when he had come near, He asked him,
41. saying, "What do you want Me to do for you?'' And he said, "Lord, that I may receive my sight.''
42. Then Jesus said to him, "Receive your sight; your faith has saved you.''
Ephesians 2: 8. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
9. not of works, lest anyone should boast.
2 Timothy 1: 9. who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began
Titus 3: 5. not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,
6. whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior,
7. that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life
John 6:
28. Then they said to Him, "What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?''
29. Jesus answered and said to them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.''
Romans 12: 3. For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.
Even our faith is not our work but Gods , we choose to extend it or not but its all from Him , all done by Him and for Him !
justification means its evidence of our faith that we have been saved and that He is living in us , but He doesnt get there by our works , they come later once He has sealed us :
Epheisians 1:3. In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,
14. who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.
Also this is clear and directly contradicts you : Galations 2: 16. "knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.
Galations 2: 21. "I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.''
Galations 3: 11. But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for "The just shall live by faith.''
Galations 3:24. Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25. But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.
Galations 5:4. You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.
5. For we through the Spirit eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
Titus 3:7. that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Bottom line : If someone has one passage or two unclear ones vs mountains of others that say otherwise , then its the interpretation that is in error when clear scriptures and many at that contradict it directly .
God bless !
