Wanted to make a little introduction as to who we are. BibleSenders.org is a self-supportive ministry that sends "FREE" Bibles to anyone who asks, anywhere in the world. We have only been in operation for approximately 7 months and for the month of October alone, we have sent 92 bibles to 5 countries around the world and here in the U.S.
Those receiving the bibles have very different backgrounds. They include missionaries, seminary students and your average everyday people. The bibles we received have been given to missionaries with street ministries to the homeless and those in prisons including non-believers and believers. Surprisingly, many requests have come from non-Christians including Muslims as well as Hebrews and a vast array of Christians ranging from Baptists to Pentecostals.
It has been amazing watching how BibleSenders.org has unfolded and is without a doubt divinely coordinated. We will get a donation of bibles and within days get requests for the amount of bibles we received. Sometimes it works the opposite. We get requests while we have no bibles on hand and within days, we get enough bibles to send out to all who request them. It's inspiringly awesome!
The most exciting thing about BibleSenders.org is all the lives it has touched in such a short amount of time! Over the last few months we seem to be picking up the pace of incoming and outgoing bibles. Just yesterday we received a request form missionaries in Guatemala asking if we could supply them 100 bibles on top of the 20 we are hoping to send to China. I expect the Lord will provide as he has done in the past. My job as far as I am aware is to get the word out about what BibleSenders.org does, ask for your bible donations, put the stamps on the envelopes and drop them off to the post office. Other than that, I believe the success and growth of Bible Senders will go where the Lord takes it.
Things you can do…
Spread the Good News! If you have old bibles or extra ones sitting in your closet or find some on the cheap at a garage sale, please consider sending them on over. You can even get your church involved and do a bible drive! We do not accept money and as long as the Lord supplies our personal finances to meet the shipping needs, we would like to keep it that way. We do however accept new and used bibles and will accept any version as long as it does not have torn or missing pages. If you have bilingual bibles in any language we would love those as for us, they are difficult to come by.
