In Shadows Far Below

In sunshine, rain, in stormy gale
Leaving glory and realm
God’s boat of life has long set sail
With Jesus at the helm

Seeking the sick the weak and strong
The young and old astray
To populate His Father’s throng
He fishes night and day

With great remorse and more regrets
In seas and oceans wide
We flee like fish from Heaven’s nets
Beyond the great divide

We struggle in the nets when caught
We struggle to be free
Against our Saviours’ true report
Because we fail to see

We’re blind to life and Heaven’s Light
To hell and endless pain
Jumping the net in senseless flight
We seek the depths again

Beneath the waves and thickest weed
A shield against the foe
We wait upon the weak to feed
In shadows far below

Its time to venture from the deep
Take courage whilst we may
Partake in faith life’s greatest leap
Into God’s net today

Its time to leave the seas of death
The oceans of despair
Rise up and ride on Heaven’s Breath
Eternal life to share
