Im Changed

They said I’d never rise to much
Man thought it from the start
Until I felt the Spirit’s touch
When Jesus claimed my heart

Though not just heart, but soul and mind
I’m changed! I’m not the same
That child of old is not to find
Not since my Saviour came!

The Lamb of God has set me free
To live the way I should
My robes of light, yet none can see
Who’s not of Jesus’ blood

Through Christ, my life has all been changed
I’m up; instead of down
Who else but God could so arrange?
That I should wear a crown

In Christ I’m changed for all to see
Inside I’m all-aglow
I pray God’s Light would shine through me!
That other’s Christ would know

I’m changed I care for others too
I never did before
The Lord has truly made me new
Right through my very core

To some, it may not sound so much
My change is no great deal
But since I’ve felt the spirit’s touch
I know salvation’s real

Without the Lord, life race was tough
The torment failed to cease
I’m changed, I just can’t say enough
I’m changed and have such peace…
