I can’t forget He died for me
I can’t forget He lives
I can’t forget on bended knee
How much He loves and gives
I can’t forget He too is there
When quiet in my room
When in regret, when in despair
He’ll vanquish tears of gloom
I can’t forget the little things
The miracles He’s done
The feeling that the presence brings
Victories sought and won
Imagining my life before
Remembering the tears
The day Christ opened Heaven’s Door
And vanquished stressful fears
I can’t forget the crown of thorn
The holes in hands and feet
The privilege to be reborn
To join my God’s elite
Should I not praise Him all my days?
Should I to Him not pray?
Seek to alter my selfish ways
And serve Him whilst I may
I can’t forget the day He came
When first I saw The Light
Bringing such peace, taking may shame
Ending my wayward flight
With Heaven’s silver gold and jewels
Treasures none can afford
I can’t behave like blinded fools
