5 But the inhabitants of Jebus said to David, “You shall not come in here!” Nevertheless David took the stronghold of Zion (that is, the City of David). 6 Now David said, “Whoever attacks the Jebusites first shall be chief and captain.” And Joab the son of Zeruiah went up first, and became chief. 7 Then David dwelt in the stronghold; therefore they called it the City of David.
The Jebusites told David, you and your bunch can't come in here. David said "Really"?....Watch me! God had plans the Jebusites were not aware of! How often have you been told you can't do something for God? Who are your Jebusites? We all have them, the folks that tell you you can't do this or that, have they ask YOUR God what you can't do for Him, because he has plans contrary to the Jebusites in your life.
Was David bold when he stepped out in warrior mode for the Kingdom....you bet! He not only defeated the Jebusites, but he took the strong hold of Zion, and established the City of David....which still stands today.

9 So David went on and became great, and the LORD of hosts was with him.
So, not only did the Jebusites not defer David from taking Zion, he went on to win many battles...and eventually became King. When you are attempting mighty things for God, and your Jebusites come to you....tell them to stand down.
My friend when God has plans for you, nothing and noone can thwart those plans, so when the Jebusites meet you at the way tell them to kindly step aside or be deafeated.
Who among you have big plans in Gods Kingdom, put on the amoure of God and march forth.....do MIGHTY things ignoreing the Jebusites.
I can't do what????!!! With Gods power I will fight, nay,,,,I will annialate my enemies!
