God: Male and Female created He themIn John:6:63 Jesus said, It is the spirit that quickeneth ; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.He said this after telling the people that unless you ate His flesh and drank His blood that you would have no life in you. This upset some of His followers so much that a lot of them left for they were thinking that He was advocating cannibalism. Of course you could understand why. If you interpret the bible literally all of the time you can become a little confused. But Jesus in this passage is telling the people that the words that I am speaking are spirit, for the spirit quickens, or gives live to your spirit but the letter of the law kills. This is why he said you must be born again, for unless a man is born again he can not understand the things of god. A man that does not know our Lord and reads the bible, outside of understanding some of the historical aspects of it, will always be pointed to Jesus Christ. I will give just a couple of examples here, when the Pharisees and Sadducees were questioning him, Jesus said “search the scriptures for in them you think you have life and they are those that testify of me.” I am sure you are familiar when they brought the woman who was caught in adultery and they told Jesus the law says to stone her. They were right, that is what it said. It also says an eye for an eye and we could probably go on with quite a few more. The point I am making is that as Christians it is imperative to us to hear and be directed by the Holy Spirit speaking to our spirit so that we do not get led astray or forget our high calling.Philippians 3:14 KJV I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. This does not mean that we are to throw out the obvious commandments that the bible tells us especially when it relates to sin.
Now to get to the title of this message. In Eph:5 we read, 22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the savior of the body. 24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. 25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. 28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. 29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: 30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. 31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. 32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. 33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
We always hear people, especially men saying wives submit to your husbands, but when you read Ephesians:5:22-33 the emphasis is not on wives submitting to their husbands but on vs.32: This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Just as Eve was taken from the side of Adam, we the church were born from the side of Jesus on the cross. We both, male and female are the bride of Christ. So when you look at the natural, the male inserts the seed into the female that she might conceive and bring forth new life. In the spirit God, our husband, inserts his seed into us, his bride whether we be male or female that we might conceive and bring forth new life. I am sure that there is not a male reading this that has not learned something about God either from his wife or another woman. So as she is sharing the word of God with a male she is moving in the role of a male and the man is moving in the role of the female as he receives the word that will bring forth new life in himself. Either way the purpose of it is to bring forth new life in us for male and female created He us.
Galatians 3:28 KJV
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
