What You Don't Know WILL hurt YOU!
This will probably be one of the most important topics I ever touch on and won't be the last. I truly believe that once one get their hands around this, can have a life-changing state of awareness. One of the reasons I feel so strongly about this topic which I will explain later, has cost me 30 plus years of my own life. I hope by sharing this might keep you from doing so as well, while creating a better life for yourself. Which is my intention and purpose from all that I share, always.
What I am going to touch on is how your beliefs or values have literally created your entire reality to date, and just what that really means. Your current reality is merely the total sum of decision/choices in life you have made based on your subconscious core beliefs. When you make a decision, you subconsciously "think" before you decide. That subconscious process of "thinking", is based off your core beliefs which has ultimately guided you to where you are today.
So knowing that, it would be safe to say that the only thing you can attract into your life is that of what you ARE. What you are in essence being defined as your set of beliefs. First, lets define what a belief is in simple terms. A belief is nothing more then a repeated idea or thought over time that you have accepted into your subconscious mind, as fact.
The idea you can only attract what you ARE would go to show why rich people mingle with other wealthy individuals, drug addicts generally attract other addicts, and so on. This would also say that an alcoholic can not attract a healthy relationship. In every scenario described above, the only uncommon factor between all groups, would be their core beliefs/values placing them accordingly.
You might be asking at this point, how do you change your beliefs? I will address the how and why's more closely in the next couple of days, but will share an example that most can relate directly or indirectly to. That would be the process an alcoholic takes in recovery to create a better life. They start taking on new beliefs through repetitive ideas and thoughts by attending meetings, working the steps, having a sponsor, and helping others. In this process one is training the subconscious mind to take on a new set of beliefs, thus creating a new life. As a result in changing ones beliefs is allowing them to attract more of who they have now become. Stepping into a new life that's now mirroring who they ARE now.
This is only one example of how beliefs play a major part of creating the life you want. Tomorrow I will dive deeper into where our beliefs stem from, and how easily they can sabotage your forward progress. More specifically around core beliefs that you are not consciously aware of causing the most damage.
God Bless...
