As a kid, I didn't have confidence because I didn't know how to believe in myself in doing anything. At age 22, I started to get confidence in certain things like video games. Confidence means to believe in yourself that you can do something. When you have confidence, you also benefit from it. For example, you can go on a date to be in a relationship with someone.
