Living a right Godly life…
You might think that you are living a righteous life that pleases God but how do you know you are? Well the first mistake you made is thinking, I live a righteous life.
When we think we are right we are usually wrong.
You need to know your right, not think it.
It is a fine line between arrogance and ignorant.
The word of God tells us not to be arrogant and the word of God tells us not to be ignorant.
I cannot stress enough how important it is to be in strict coherence with the word of God, assuming you want to live for him.
You need to know when you are living a righteous life.
You need to know when you are living a wicked life.
You need to know when you are doing right deeds.
You need to know when you are doing wrong deeds.
We need to be consciously aware of what we are doing. Do not do what you think feels right or wrong.
Sometimes we forget to think and we just go ahead and do it anyway, that is dangerous.
If you’re going to ask Jesus for forgiveness you need to know what you’re asking forgiveness for.
Are you asking it for something you thought was wrong but might have been right?; or are you asking it for what you thought was wrong but might of been right? You see thinking is not good enough, you need to know for sure what you’re doing.
If you do not know how can you actually commit the righteous action?
The first most important thing, before being conscious of you actions, you need to be conscious of God.
Being aware of his existence is not enough; you need to know what he told us so you have to burn the word of God into your heart so you can apply it to your life.
Once you’re aware of his instructions, you can be aware of what you do.
Until then you’re just the walking blind.
The word of God instructs us not to do these things.
Romans 1 29
Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
1 Peter 4:3King James Version (KJV)
3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:
Romans 13:12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
Another aspect we forget is what we say. You might be aware and doing the right deeds but how is your language?
Are you calling people bad names? Condescending? Racist? Sexist? Swearing? Rude? Obtuse? Fowl mouthed? Arrogant in words?; and all other manners like this.
The word of God tell us to put off old conversation, that is do not say what we said before Jesus brought us to life. It is not what goes into a man that defiles him but what comes out.
1 Peter 1:15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
1 Peter 2:12 Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.
Of course none of these things come about unless you are saved and have faith in Jesus Christ.
So what do we do if we are not to do those things above? Of course not doing those things above requires a self-denial which in turn requires us not love this life.
Hmm that is a big decision to make when you think about it, Especially when you have family and friends to please.
That’s the cost, Jesus did not say sell all you have and follow me for no reason.
Matthew 16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Yes it is a challenge so make your choice. Where do your treasures lie?; On earth or in heaven?
What does one do if they deny themselves? I will tell you! They please God. That is the greatest hing anyone person can with in and for their entire life.
Of course to live for Jesus is to deny the things of this world, which are many things we love.
So as a Christian are we to become a bland burnt out hollow husk, of course not.
God wants you to enjoy life, he just does not want you to enjoy Satan.
Unfortunately Satan is the tempter. He is the one who gives us the goods, the earthly things.
How do we deny earthy things?
We enjoy spiritual things. Believe it or not fruit is spiritual and not earthy. The fruit is a thing God has made and he made it for us to enjoy.
Coca Cola is a not a spiritual drink so should you enjoy that?
Satan gives us the things that are seemingly, tasty.
Any natural food is God made and we are to enjoy such things.
As long as what you are doing is out of faith and not Sin you can do it.
I watching the movie FALLEN by Demzel Washington a thing of Faith?
No, then deny it.
Can you buy and sell out of Faith? You can buy items of faith such as albums by FOR TODAY or you can buy things of Sin such as albums by Korn.
Buying and selling in of itself can become a form of sin by want. We must not be in want but in a place of content.
In order to write these articles I have needed many book such as strongs concordance, Thomas Chain reference bible, Vines KJV Dictionary, Bible Thesaurus, Matthews bible, Geneva bible, Reformers works, a few other KJV bibles and a few other topical books but over all I have not been in want of those things. I have been in need.
I have been in want of watching a movie and regretted it due to the fact I attract Devils and they harass me. So it does pay for me to deny such earthy things.
I am not boasting for the same goes for all.
I just encourage you to serve the one true God and not the false ones.
God bless you rich whether you endeavor to do this or not
