How Tears Swiftly Flow.....

Deceived and lost afraid to die
Walking life’s road still blind
Why did I Christ God’s Lamb deny?
Why had I closed my mind?

I’d lie I’d cheat, play much the fool
I’d scoff the bride in white
Was I in fact the devil’s tool?
Avoiding Heaven’s Light

This world’s Dark Age has come and passed
The path to life was here
Freedom to seek The First & Last
But fooled; I walked in fear

Somehow; my thoughts were turned to Christ
To things He had to tell
The Tree and Jesus sacrificed
To save my soul from hell

Where were my dreams, desires and goal?
Where led my chosen path?
Where was the refuge for my soul?
Against God’s day of wrath

I saw the Truth I heard The Call
My world began to shake
How deep on earth had I to fall?
How grievous my mistake?

How quickly knees can meet the floor
How swift can flow ones tears
When love comes knocking at the door
Taking doubts and fears

Thank God He came, praise God I’m free
Through Jesus’ blood reborn
I’m saved by grace through faith I’ll see
God’s everlasting dawn.....
