How Foolish Would I Be?

Love’s grace, revealed truth, to my soul
Flooding my heart with pain
How far, I’d drifted from life’s goal
Shameful, living in vain

Rebellious to God’s Holy Laws
Selfishly walking blind
Opening, entering devils’ doors
While closing, life’s behind

How long, careless, I walked hell’s way
Yielding, to Satan’s charms
Ungodly active night and day
Wrapped in demonic arms

Seeing the world through selfish eyes
Lusting for personal gain
Till facts revealed Satan’s disguise
As Truth began to reign

Jesus was knocking at my door
Heaven was calling out
So plain, how could my soul ignore
How could my spirit doubt

Our God is true, Jesus is real
So is Heaven and hell
Regardless, how we think or feel
That lost man’s books will tell

Reading the bible through and through
Daily seeking God’s face
I’ve learned exactly what to do
To run and win life’s race

How blind and foolish would I be?
To quit and leave such love
Jesus revealed on Calvary’s tree
