I recently read a few pages from a book on how to "cheat proof" your marriage. The book was aimed at women ONLY.
The reason for this to me seemed a bit wishy-washy (After all, you are the one who wants to save your marriage.)
Are there no men who want to save their marriages? Is this a feeling men arent capable of having?
All at once, I felt completely disheartened! Im not even married as yet, and I felt as if it would be trying to hold the world on my shoulders. I always felt marriage was a partnership. Not a parentship.
Then I remembered something. God has the final say. Not the author of this book, not the society in which we live, not even we ourselves.
Only God.
God does not plan evil for us - ever. He only wants to give us hope for our future. Im sure there's a big dose of patience, and comfort along with the hope. No matter what comes our way.
I dont know how I manage to forget this sometimes.
