House Groups

Many a church may close their gate
Though ancient chapels die
Yet groups in houses escalate
Seeking God’s face on high

Intimate, with The living Christ
Constant within His sight
Righteous through innocence sacrificed
Standing within His Light

Houses of praise houses of prayer
Of facts of truth and light
Through which in Jesus everywhere
The groups can stand and fight

Serving their Saviour night and day
Living as saints before
Learning to walk that same Old Way
Toward The Father’s door

Faithful to One they’ve yet to see
Yet patient through His love
Living in hope of things to be
Whilst on His Path above

Anointed by God’s nail pierced hand
Alive through second birth
Given by grace to understand
And spread the news on earth

Now God’s revealed The Truth to man
Of Jesus’ life and death
Concealed and veiled ere time began
Through groups with Heaven’s Breath

Through groups in houses great and small
United in one goal
Obey with love The Father’s call
And save man’s sinful soul
