Hmmm....

Could it be that the reason why so many of us get offended and upset when someone expresses their 'feelings' about a certain religion/denomination/faith group is because we haven't died to ourselves yet?

If you are firm in your beliefs and trust God with all your heart and He's doing great things in your life (not just for your benefit, but ultimately for His glory), why get offended by what someone says about your beliefs??

Words can hurt, yes. Make no mistake about it. And you're ready to fight when someone says hurtful words to you. But, imo, there's a difference between attacking someone personally and attacking one's beliefs.

Its possible that the reason why we get so offended is because we don't recognize that who we are isn't nor should it be based on a particular denomination or faith group, but our identity is based on who Jesus is...if you are a born again christian.

So if you are a child of God in Christ Jesus and someone is attacking you and/or your beliefs, you really don't need to get offended or upset. Why? Because your trust isn't in what you believe, but you're trust is in WHO you believe and that is Jesus.
