Yes, it tis I!. I have decided to make a blog entry describing recent events and the great summer I am going to have. And thank the Lord that we are all healthy this year! After the last 2 years, we didn't know what to expect. Yeah, there are still a few weeks before summer, but I think we'll be fine.
Anyway, wow! I can't believe I graduate in 2 years. It is insane, my childhood flew by so fast. And my teenage years seem to be going by even faster. Our 3 school bands got 2 state 1 ratings(the highest you can get) and 1 state 2. I was in the 2 that got 1's. It was all me obviously. We have been playing in my church. Yep, that's right the school bands have been playing in a church! Our band room was falling apart and mold was found in it. After the huge midwest icestorm back in January a tree fell on top of it, so when they were fixing that, they found mold. So the building is condemned. They are fixing it back up. Which is all good, but I like playing at my church, the acoustics are better in it, LOL
I have 1 more big event at school before the end of there year, which is our band concert, it will be awesome. one of the best we'll ever put on. Now into summer, 3 big fun things I am gonna do:
#1:Me and my parents are taking a week long RV trip to Gatlinburg, TN(Great Smoky Mnts National Park). It'll be my first time to the beautiful area. SO it'll be fun.
#2: State Youth Choir Tour: Back in November, while I was at state youth convention. I auditioned for my denomination's state youth choir, and I made it! I'll be gone about a week touring churches all over the state praising God with a bunch of other teens. The best part is, the leaders of it are my youth pastor and his wife. And there are like 4 or 5 of my friends from church going too.
#3: Camp Sharon: This is my denomination's state summer camp. I am going for the first time this summer. Which is odd since I could have started going in 3rd grade...which was almost 8 years ago. I have heard from all my friends and my youth pastor about what a great place it is. My friends have tried to get me to go since we were little. But it always feel on the week of my birth day. And I didn't wanna go then. But it is like 2 weeks before my birth day this year, it is a week long thing too. It is set on a lake as well.
So as you can tell, I am gonna be busy this summer, but I am also gonna be having a lot of fun. And surrounded by good Christlike people.
