Hell Certainly Call

A rendezvous but few would seek
But few would know the date
Most hesitate his name to speak
The very thought they hate

To mansions, hovels, palaces tall
From rich to poorest mite
Certainly death one day will call
And life will take its flight

Fingers extend beyond the mist
Their vice like grip we’ll feel
We’ll know from death we’re finally kissed
We’ll know that God is real

There’s no escape death’s gaping jaws
The grave of flesh and bone
But God gives hope to Heaven’s Doors
For those beneath His Stone

Beneath The Stone that paves the way!
The Way to life and love
The Stone that takes man’s form of clay
And builds it high above

So though death’s day draws ever nigh
Although its course is sure
And though we’re all ordained to die
In Christ God sends The Cure

What fool would cast this Cure aside?
What fool his life would hate?
What fool rejects God’s Son as Guide?
And walk through Heaven’s gate

We need to flee whilst yet there’s time
Whilst Christ is yet at hand
We must repent from lives of crime
