God made the end before the start
Before earth’s time began
Before life’s blood flowed through a heart
Or breath was breathed in man
Who can improve what God has made?
Formed by Jehovah’s hand
Who can His great design invade?
Or change what Heaven’s planned
Who can imagine God’s intent?
Surmise one’s future dawn
When not a moment time they’ve spent
Before the world’s first morn
Alone! I Am was always here
In truth was always there
Inside outside forward and rear
Always and everywhere
So only God such things can see
The Lord who formed the past
The things that ought or not to be
The endless things to last
Obvious to God the future’s clear
Both sides of life’s divide
Why should we walk and live in fear
With Heaven’s Guide inside
Yet some would look through Heaven’s eyes
What Jesus had to say?
The future truths of paradise
Results of judgement day
But we who walk death’s shadowed vale
With Jesus hand in hand
We’ll trust God’s Son never to fail
