I had to laugh a little at how perfectly this summed up. Sometimes God is very consice and to the point. Here's what happened.
I was watching a show that creeped me out and it was dark in the house. The show was about robots and how they might take over the world. Well, my active imagination invented a whole story behind that. The robots would be demon possessed and evil and they would enslave all of humanity for all time. Hahaha, I know it sounds really dumb, but it got my heart pumping and I started to feel like there were things in the shadows that were going to get me. I tried waking my boyfriend who said there was nothing there before dozing off again. So I turned to Google. I searched evil presence in shadows. Every link looked like it might make me have a full blown panic attack so I wised up and turned to God. I went to my favorite bible verse generator site and the one that popped up was John 14:27
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
I read that and actually laughed as all my fear dissolved. Isn t he great? He knew I was scared and gave me what I needed right away.
