The unforgivable Sin…
Have I committed it? I will be honest with you the thought has plagued me; it has brought me to tears.
Why did I think I had committed the unforgivable Sin, I thought it because I had some real evil thoughts. I got the thoughts while I read the bible at the time I was “coming back” to God.
The thoughts came while I read the word of God and I am saying they were evil and very sick.
I really thought I had to of committed the Sin because of that. Sometimes it crosses my mind to this day but then I think man I love you so much Jesus you’re my all, Father I love you and Holy Ghost I love you so much. You’re my all! My heart burns for you!
I cannot sense you at all but I love you so much is what I think and feel. Do I think it alone, is it a mind thing? No I do not think so. I think this is a heart thing.
Love the LORD your GOD with your WHOLE HEART SOUL AND MIND!
Not just mind!
So I think this and the idea I have sinned against the Holy Ghost kind of dissipates.
That means to fade away.
So what does it mean to commit this Sin. The Holy Ghost is only mentioned in the New Testament. The Jews of the Old Testament new nothing about him; could a man of old commit this Sin?
Why not? They are men and so are you so why could they not?
Let’s read verses about the unforgivable Sin.
Mark 3:22-30
22 And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.
23 And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan?
24 And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
25 And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
26 And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
27 No man can enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.
28 Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:
29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation.
This warning has gone to the unbelievers. This is the scribes. These scribes said Jesus is possessed with Devils. So who is he that has committed this Sin? It is the unbeliever.
So if you are a believer of God, if you believe Jesus is God then this verse is not going out to you.
It is going to the unbeliever.
Matthew 12:31-32
31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
Once again we have the same scenario as before. God is not double minded. He is single minded.
James 1:8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
It is our job to be confused and Gods job to be perfect.
What if an unbeliever uses the LORDS name in vain, has he committed that Sin?
What if some just blasphemes God? The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost are three that testify in heaven right.
1 John 5:7
7 for there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
So the Holy Ghost is God. If you blaspheme God are you blaspheming the Holy Ghost?
Well God is three so who are you referring to when you blasphemed?
If you blasphemed the Holy Ghost, you would become reprobate that is dead for good.
If you blaspheme the Holy Ghost you do not believe and never will believe.
If you believe now, if you truly believe Jesus is God. If you believe the Father is in he and he is in the Father. Then you believe he is God. The three that bear witness in heaven are one; this is The Holy Ghost, The Father and The Son.
THEY ARE ONE, THEY ARE GOD! If you believe that then you are a believer and not an unbeliever. Who was the unforgivable Sin directed at? The unbeliever, is this you? No, GREAT!
You BELIEVE and you’re HIS!
If you are HIS your forgiven! How can you blaspheme the Holy Ghost if you believe?
You cannot.
When you believe on the name of Jesus, when you accept him to be LORD and the Savior of our Souls something happens.
This is described in Ezekial.
Ezekiel 11:19 And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh:
New spirit, new heart and one heart will be given to those who believe.
So if you have this then do you think it is possible to commit this Sin? You know The Holy Ghost is God so how are you actually going to attempt this Sin? You already love our God and yet you think you capable of the Sin that is for the unbeliever?
You cannot….
Once you are Gods you are Gods and that Sin goes against the heart he gave you.
You cannot break it.
Now, one last thing; you might not believe this but this is the fact. A Devil can make you think things.
They can put thoughts in your mind. If you are a believer in Christ and have dropped your guard and left your first love; then you’re open to demonic attack.
They will put thoughts in your mind.
Thoughts like have I committed the unforgivable Sin. They will also give you thoughts to make you think you have done it!
Just because you saved does not mean you safe from attack. The Devil is out to devour whoever he may.
Why did the thought of the unforgivable Sin plague me? Devils plague us and they will beat you with whatever they have to get you. They will persist like parasites and they will hack and burn you until they bring you to ruin.
So get up and get your guard on. Why? Because God said SO!
1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
The Devil is out to rip you to bits. He will do it without you knowing it. DO you think you are smart? Satan has been here for Six thousand years meddling with me. Do you think he has no idea what he is doing?
We have no idea what Satan did before time even exist.
Satan is an eternal being and he a smart one. He knows all the tricks and all the trades. If you do not knowledge up in the Word of God then you are an innocent piglet waiting for Satan’s spit roast.
If you believe Jesus is God who saved your Soul, you cannot commit that Sin.
