I Am 2010
I am your new year.
I am an unspoiled page in your book of time.
I am your next chance at the art of living.
I am your opportunity to practice what you learned about life during the last twelve months.
All that you sought and didn’t find is hidden in me, waiting for you to search it but with more determination.
All the good you tried for and didn’t achieve is mine to grant when you have fewer conflicting desires.
All that you dreamed but didn’t dare to do, all that you hoped but did not will, all the faith that you claimed but did not have—these slumber lightly, waiting to be awakened by the touch of a strong purpose.
I am your opportunity to renew your allegiance to Him who said, "Behold, I make all things new."
2010 ... Okay, I'll take that on. A fresh clean page in the life that is Me, Myself and I.
2009 wasn't bad, but she was cruel in her little summer surprise. Once again I didn't go looking for it ... it came to me dripping with lies, manipulations and hidden agendas. For it to come in the form of someone I trusted from my past, my old high school boyfriend, was mean spirited.
Just when you think you're recapturing your faith and trust in people and love once again ... someone has to come along and reawaken reality for you.
So I leave it in His hands trusting in Him with all my heart and not leaning on my own understanding.
His will be done; not mine.
