Over the centuries there has been quite a variation in both theology and the religious outlook within Christianity, and quite frankly it is all rather subjective. Yet the main point is supposed to have been the original concept of Christianity, that being a messiah and the Kingdom/governance of God (where He would come to take away governance of man from man) as being the focal point of Jesus' message, an original message which has been long diverted from. It went off the rails pretty quickly, not because both had briefly physically come, but because it was a threat to the kingdom makers of the world including within religion, both Jewish and Christian. Better to claim their representation of God in order to build their world empire than let God actually do His job. Hopefully, He will come to put all in their place soon enough and rid us of this self supporting global culture we have created in our own image, often using God to promote it. Our systems will crumble and many won't like it.
