As I was driving home from work one day, I slowed down long enough to read the writing on a Church's marqee. It read,
"God's grace only extends to the level of our obedience to His Word."
In disbelief, I drove back the same way the very next day, just to see if I had read this correctly and sure enough, there it was.
I said to myself, unbelievable, as if any amount of willful obedience to His word on my part would ever justify His grace in my life!
Folks, when are we going to realize that it's not about how good we are but rather about how good God is that we are saved, that we even had the option of accepting Jesus or denying Him?
Knowing the amount of grace that He has extended to me and the grace that I know that I will need only causes me to rely on Him more and appreciate everything He's done and has promised me.
Though we are expected to strive to do His Will,We need not evaluate ourselves on the level of our obedience to His word but rather according to His Love, Grace, Spirit and Value that God , The Father, has shown and proved through the unselfish sacrifice and resurrection of His only begotten Son,
Christ Jesus.
