We realize when things go wrong
We feel inside and see
We know we nowhere else belong
Than kneeling at The Tree
The Tree of Life, Salvation’s Root
The Tree that shook the world
Yielding for God the sweetest fruit
Grace selflessly unfurled
For selfless is Jehovah’s Son
Salvation’s guiding Light
Through whom creation was begun
Through whom we’ll win life’s fight
Still stretching forth those arms out wide
Once nailed upon the tree
Calling sinners to come inside
Calling to you and me
Calling His sheep from every land
Whispering love and grace
Touching with His nail pierced hand
Regardless of their race
It takes a push perhaps a fall
Torment trouble and strife
Before we hear our Saviour call
Before we change in life
Through faith to Christ our knees will bend
Through faith we see life’s cure
Through faith we learn to comprehend
His love will all endure
But change we must before death’s dawn
Through groans through sweat and tears
Before the angel blows his horn
