Entrusted with The living Word
By virtue of His grace
By faith believing what is heard
We’ll see The Author’s face
By faith in Christ The risen Lord
In Heaven’s living Bread
We’ll live we’ll stand through blood outpoured
Through suffering He shed
This wayward world has much to share
Like silver gold and jewels
Such fleeting wealth she has to bear
Is sought by blinded fools
No wine no drug could thrill us more
No ransom of a king
Than keys to life through Heaven’s Door
But One alone can bring
God’s Promised One is here is now
For all who’ll seek to live
For all who’s knees will faithful bow
For that which Christ will give
Ripping the devil’s world apart
The Temple drapes in two
The same; leading a sinful heart
Through faith to life anew
Life; through God’s Word made flesh and bone
The Lamb who chose to die
Saviour of souls with hearts of stone
To rise to live on high
Yet who’ll receive God’s Word today?
God’s Gift with Fire and Light
Believe, accept truly obey
