  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

God's Purpose in Revealing Himself

When God first started showing me signs that He was and that He was a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him, I didn't fully understand why He was "showing" himself.

I thought, what can I do with this "knowing" you LORD. I can praise you for your presence in my life. I can call upon you in prayer. I can seek your face.

I remember how frightening it was and how I remember asking, "What is going on?" because it was out of the realm of what I was used to in our relationship.

Then I got excited about all of the possibilities. Now that my faith had become Faith and I knew that I knew that I knew you were then I knew your love was real too.

Could I express this love to others? Would I ever be able to share your peace? Could the joy of the LORD truly be my strength?

Are there others that "know" you like this, LORD? Others who know your unmerited favor? Others who are called according to your purpose?

But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 1 Cor 12:7

It is as if you changed my spiritual genetics and I am truly a new creature in Christ. Thank-you, LORD for your free gift of salvation. I accept it.

Thank-you for making my sight better. And for the unspeakable gift.
