When God makes something, he doesn't fashion the universe in the same way we would. We use recipes. We follow directions. We don't know exactly what it is we are doing as we are doing it. For it says,
For we know in part and we prophesy in part ~1 Corinthians 13:9
We put these parts together slowly, like a worm in the dirt; wriggling and poring our way through the unknown. But God's ways are not our ways as it says,
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares Yahweh. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. ~Isaiah 55:8-9
His ways are most certainly complete. He does not learn anything but when he does something, he does it in such a way that it moves into the next without any break in continuity or any distress. For this way was described in the wisdom of Solomon when he said this,
I perceived that whatever God does endures forever; nothing can be added to it, nor anything taken from it. God has done it, so that people fear before him. ~Ecclesiastes 3:14
There is nothing left out. He didn't make anything extra in secret but he told us what he did by his servants. For so it says,
For the Lord GOD does nothing without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets. ~Amos 3:7
Therefore the account of creation within 7 days is a complete and perfect act. There is nothing missing (like aliens from some distant system), neither would there be anything extra in it (like the spleen which seems to have no use in the body). But in all of this there is also no empty space in the midst of it, making holes or seams. It is complete. For as God is one so also did he make all things, a single thing. As it says here,
Hear, O Israel, Yahweh our God, Yahweh is one. ~Deuteronomy 6:4
And this in conjunction with,
It is all one; therefore I say, ‘He destroys both the blameless and the wicked.’ ~Job 9:22
Therefore we know that a God who himself identifies as a singular entity has also made his creation to be in the same spirit of harmony. There is no variation or shadow due to change with him. He has certainly made this creation seamless.
This in fact is the handiwork of God in creation. When we make something we have to weld it together, or sew it or patchwork it in some way. We take one end and wrap it to meet the other end but we have no means of making it by nature one piece. This is the workmanship of God: that we find in creation no seams throughout its construction but a pure spotless manifold work; a single piece.
So when we consider the account of creation and we see the many lights which were made in the heavens and the plants of every kind in which is their seed. And then we see all the fish and the birds created on the same day. Then we see all the beasts and creatures of the land created. From this we know that all this was made out of one thing and through one common element do they all hold together and with one purpose, and this is none other than Yahshua, as it says here,
All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. ~John 1:3
So now imagine a world in which... everything is quite interrelated. There is no life which was made apart from that one life, Yahshua. All things find their substance in him, for so it says,
These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ.
~Colossians 2:17
The cattle was made through him. The whales were made through him; the birds of the air and even the plants. Everything was made out of a common image. It is not infinite but it is bound up in our bodies, limited by its own constraints.
So is it any wonder that you see spleens also in whales' bodies? Is it any wonder that the face of a lion bears regality? Is it a question or a hard fact that every animal fits perfectly within the ecosystems they live in? The world wants to tell you that the extra spleens were evolved through eons of time of whales diving to deeper depths; that they developed these features simply because there was a need to better filter the oxygen in their blood. Or is this not a placement of their niche by God? They were made with more spleens so that they would have the capacity to go deeper and get different resources than the whales with less spleens.
You see? The same things which are turned backwards to be seen in the light of a mechanical explanation are easily the very fingerprints of God's handiwork. Therefore, when it says this,
For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened.
~Romans 1:20-21
We know that they turn things upside down fundamentally. For so it says,
You turn things upside down! Shall the potter be regarded as the clay, that the thing made should say of its maker, “He did not make me”; or the thing formed say of him who formed it, “He has no understanding”? ~Isaiah 29:16
And this is precisely their premise to create for themselves the conclusions they wish about the natural world. Everywhere and everything is made with such precision and accuracy, from the stars to the hummingbirds and the particular flowers from which they eat. Everything was made in its proper place. And this is why this subject cannot be debated directly. One side begins with the conclusion that it was NOT made by God and the other side begins with the premise that it indeed was made by God. The rest of what you see follows from your faith.
So from here I could go on into discussing the apparent advantage you gain by believing in God and the apparent void and emptiness in thinking we are it. But I would rather go deeper still. Now I want to point you to a simple key fact that binds this all together:
When the soldiers had crucified Jesus, they took his garments and divided them into four parts, one part for each soldier; also his tunic. But the tunic was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom, ~John 19:23
This not only fulfilled the scriptures but it was the only thing befitting the King. It was the only thing that would testify to his creation that all these things were made through him. He may have come humble and lowly, mounted on a donkey, the colt and foal of a donkey but as the garments of the wedding feast represent our righteous deeds so also did this represent his perfection and spotless beauty as the Lamb of God!
He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. ~John 1:11
His invisible attribute: seamlessness is built into this creation and is evident in the testimony of scripture which can be clearly seen; all things working together. This is how we know what harmony even is, through nature! And would you give glory to a machination? Would you praise the works of your own hands in the end? Or will you not give glory to your God in heaven?! Will you not extol him for such a mighty undertaking this all is and a weariness to understand it? Praise God for it is not in man but it is with God.
Amen.
