Gods Calling

Our world revolves in doom and gloom
Full malice hate and spite
What’s happened to the upper room?
Christ’s church of hope and light

Still masses walk the devil’s road
As countless have before
Only a few give up their load
For keys to Heaven’s door

Misery’s flowing everywhere
Debauchery wears a crown
Yet many saved think silent prayer
Will tear such strongholds down

As Christians though, we should be wise
Two thousand years ahead
We ought to teach, to open eyes
And raise the walking dead

As Jesus’ bride, we’ve much to share
So much through Christ to give
Devotion love spiritual fare
That those deprived may live

Of course! To God we need to cry
Like saints before; have cried
But if the fold’s to multiply
The church should go outside

She needs to rise in Truth to shine
Her calling to complete
Take up in hand The Bread & Wine
To souls upon on the street

Feed man woman feed every child
Gather both flock and wheat
Until the last is reconciled
And safe at Jesus’ feet
