Abide in Godly fear
Closer, closer, never before
The Bridegroom's cloud draws near
As for me, a sinner, liar, fraud
Full wickedness per se
Disbelieving Jesus as Lord
Life's Truth, Life's only Way
Fifty years as an active knave
No future life in view
Mindless of death, fearing no grave
Immoral through and through
God saw this wretch, this lost blind fool
Ignorance, loose astray
Conniving beneath demonic rule
From Truth further away
I'm not ashamed this tale to tell
The reason, I'll now explain
Till Truth revealed my path was hell
My life was lived in vain
My heart, my soul, my eyes should see
My spiritual mind should know
Identify where soon I'd be
Where fools like me would go
'twas then grace, revealed my heading
The cost of selfish sin
Setting deeply aglow and spreading
God's love poignant within
