You know, God is sure enough a gentleman. He's not rude, inappropriate, inconsiderate of other people's feelings, obnoxious, or any of that stuff that just tears people down and hurts their spirit.
So it seems to me that if you are a christian and have been brought into God's family by Him (through grace by faith in the Son, of course), then that means that you too have to be a gentleman/lady.
We aren't supposed to be rude, acting or talking inappropriately, we are to respect people and especially their feelings if we ever care to keep the strife out of our lives, and we aren't to revile people in person or behind their back. We are instead, to build people up in love and do it in a godly respectful manner. Because in everything, there is a wrong way and a right way of doing things.
So, its pretty clear to me that christians are supposed to be like God, in our character. Because our character effects our walk.
God doesn't suggest we live in peace.....He commands it.
