God and the devil.

There seems to be a common question, "Why did god create the devil (or evil)?"

As a disclaimer, I do not want to hear the following responses:

"The lord works in mysterious ways." (can be applied to any faith)

"We can't understand god with our human brains." (can be applied to any faith)

"Ask him when you get to heaven." (can be applied to any faith)

"God gives us free will to choose." (I will explain my problem with this below, as this seems to be a major issue). (rediculous)

"God wants use to love him because we choose to, not because he made us to love him." (rediculous)

"God doesn't send us to hell, we send ourselfs to hell."

The comments are either rediculous or can can be applied to any faith.

Hell seems pretty harsh. Eternal damanation and torture. ETERNAL? If god is all knowing and all powerful, surely he knew which of his creations would accept the lord Jesus into thier heart and enter into the kingdom of god and which of his creatings would not, thus being dammed to eternal suffering.

Why would god create a human if he knows ahead of time that he or she would be dammed to eternal suffering. That seems pretty sadistic to me.

Okay, so we all "have a choice." Great, yes we do, but doesn't god know ahead of time which "choice" we make?

I can sort of understand why god created men, knowing that some would rebel. He wants men to love him by choice. However, condeming them to eternal suffering seems rediculous.

If you, as a partent, had forhand knowledge that your child would rebel, hate you, and not appreciate anything that you've done for him, what would you do? (please do not say "we can't understand god" as this can be applied to any faith).

If you loved him, would you allow evil beings to come and torture him forever? I should hope not.

Why does god simply just terminate the existence of those who are not deemed "worthy" to enter into his kingdom?

Again, I can see many christians saying the following:

"Well, god gives us a choice..."

My response:
OK, god gives us a choice, but if he truly loved us, would he still allow us to be tortured for eternity? Any loving parent would not have this be so. Would he just not extinguish our soul?

Again, I can see christians saying the following:

"We can't understand how god works..."

OK, so....why not believe in, say.... some other reglion? Doesn't make sense? Well "we can't understand how it works, we just need faith.." For instance, why not believe that Jesus was an alien? "We can't understand where these aliens came from...its beyond our understanding."

My point, is every argument, or explanation for why there is evil (or the devil and demons) in the world ends up in the fact that we just do NOT know and that christianity is just a door way to spirituality, not the ONLY way.
