From Beggars To Kings

Who’ll beg the living God’s pardon?
Who’ll seek God’s walk to life
Believing their heart will harden
From doubt through varied strife

Who’ll leave the filth of lost mankind?
Distractions long in use
Who’ll live no longer lost and blind?
And from the devil loose

Knowing these things is hard to do
So difficult at first
Finding the way to pastures new
To end one’s wicked thirst

While the devils keep on calling
Enticing day and night
Always in danger of falling
While God seems out of sight

But time and truth one’s mind will change
As souls start turning white
As Christ begins to rearrange
The hearts of His delight

Children, His Father is giving
Young lambs for Heaven’s fold
Growing strong for future living
Being refined as gold

Within life’s glow, baptised in fire
Till heart and soul’s made clean
Fulfilling Heaven’s desire
When nought but white, is seen

This is God’s moment of pleasure
Opening Heaven’s door
Giving to Jesus His treasure
To reign forever more…..
