I SHUT THE DOOR ON ALL THE DISTRACTIONS OF THIS LIFE, THE CARES OF THIS WORLD, THE BUSYNESS OF MY DAILY AFFAIRS AND ANYTHING ELSE THAT WOULD KEEP ME FROM PRESSING INTO GOD.
Philippians 3:14 - I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Matthew 13:45,46 - The Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it.

TO PURCHASE THIS EXPENSIVE PEARL, WHICH REPRESENTS THE KINGDOM, I HAVE TO SELL EVERYTHING TO HAVE ENOUGH TO BUY IT - IN OTHER WORDS I HAVE TO GIVE UP MY ENTIRE LIFE TO SERVE HIM AND HIS CAUSE WITHOUT HOLDING ANYTHING BACK FOR MYSELF, LIVING COMPLETELY FOR HIM.
2 Corinthians 5:15 - He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.
