Foundation

FOUNDATION,
What is a foundation? Foundations are the base which things stand on. A house that has a good strong foundation we know stands the test of time, it weathers well and stands for yrs. (generations). The house stays strong because of the foundation, if the foundation was weak and move and crack, the house would do the same, and many times it will be the ruin of that house. Our foundations are built on what we put our faith in (our faith is applied to our lives and actions), rather it be faith in vain or true things. In the secular world it is called principals, we know all good things come from God (even an unbeliever can do the things of God unknowingly, because God speaks through nature and our hearts, but the good they do mean nothing without the love for Christ, because they deny the good in their life is from God), the vain and glory of men come from the world. During our troubles and tribulations we lean on our foundations (principals), and if our foundation is weak it will fail and we have disasters in ourselves and are ruined as a person, giving up all faith (Jesus is the redeemer and the true foundation to restore on). Our foundations make us who we are, we stand by what we put faith in. our actions demonstrate our faith, it makes up our personality and how we are to other people. Is our foundation made up of many different faiths? as the sands of this world. Or do we build our foundations in parts? one part on sand, one part on rock (Lukewarm faith). The part of the foundation that is built on sand will fail, the part of the foundation that is built on rock stands stable, but the part of the foundation that failed will cause part of the house to fail also and need repair. If we build our foundation fully on the rock which runs deep and never fails, we will not worry about our foundations failing in any part, and leaving us in ruin.
The rock is Jesus whose foundations are from everlasting, we fully give our faith to him and we will have that foundation that is built on a rock, his rock stands for eternity. Jesus demonstrated Gods love toward us, not judging the sinner but calling all to repentance which opens the heart to God. Accepting Jesus and doing the will of the father is the true foundation that will not fail. What is the will of God? To know him fully and to accept Christ as your savior, letting your life demonstrate the Love of Jesus, and allowing God to love you.
Joh_15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love
Demonstrating our faith comes through love and not works, demonstrating through works is vain and self fulfilling. When we seek to know our father and love him through relationship his love is shown through us, we find ourselves living his will, we love all that he is and find ourselves living for him. And all his will is demonstrated through this loving relationship. We find ourselves fulfilling these commandments which the word of God is written on.
Mat 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Mat 22:38 This is the first and great commandment.
Mat 22:39 And the secondislike unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Mat 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets
Mat 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
Mat 7:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
Mat 7:26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
Mat 7:27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
Abraham had full faith in God with out question, because he loved God with all his soul, heart, and mind. He put God before him in all things and all parts of his life, being obedient to Gods calling. God was his foundation!
Heb 11:8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.
Heb 11:9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:
Heb 11:10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

Abraham’s faith was built on the foundation of God which is unmovable; a house that is built on this foundation can weather the worst storms and can’t be moved. Our faith allows God to build a foundation that will never fail. Abraham was obedient to Gods calling because he believed God was able to perform what he promised. Abraham stepped out into the unknown by faith trusting God. Why was Abraham’s faith so strong? Because he made God his foundation, and he knew who God was by having a relationship with him, and Abraham could hear God clearly because of his faith. Because of this Abraham reaped Gods blessing and promises. God promised him a nation will be borne through him that will be numbered as the stars (first Israel, now Christians), because of his faith. Many know him as “father Abraham”.
We want the favor of God as Abraham had, but many of us waiver in our faith and our foundations fail when great trouble (storms) come our way and we loose our faith in God. We lack what Abraham had, and that’s a deep relationship with our heavenly father. If we believe and truly have faith in God, we need to seek that deep relationship with him. Our first step is seeking him through his son Jesus, accepting Jesus into our hearts. No one can come to the father except through him. When we seek with all our hearts and soul (which will increase our faith and obedience), we will have that relationship Abraham had with God, and we will hear God clearly as Abraham did. We will reap Gods blessings and promises, we will have his favor always, because he will be our foundation. Storms will come our way and we will not be moved, we will step into the unknown with faith, our obedience will be counted toward true righteousness (right by God and not self righteousness), and true love for God and our neighbor will increase in our hearts, so that it cannot be hidden. Remember all true relationships start with love, with God it is pure love, because he is love.
Gen_22:17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
.Mat 11:27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
Mat 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Mat 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Mat 11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Do not put your faith in the things of this world, it is vain and will not stand. Put all your faith into truth and what is good, and that is in Jesus who leads you to God. In this foundation you will find true love which will never fail. Seek a relationship with God 2 spirit to guide you, who will teach you all things of God. Stay with the truth and do not give into ministries that support mans doctrine or philosophies. Filter all things through the word of God and apply it to all parts of life. Not just in areas you feel you need him in but in all areas of your life. Seek him every day, as Abraham did not fail in, and was blessed.
“You say that I am a sinner that say these things, surely I am! A sinner who is committed to Christ. Judge these words not for they are not my own, judge them not for these words are of God”
