Flash player sucks. It uses entirely too much processing power. So I recommend Flash Video Replacer, Download it at FlashVideoReplacer. It works with Linux Windows, and Mac. It will only work on the awesome web browser Firefox. It is recommended that you use both the gecko-mediaplayer and the SMplayer plugins for Linux. For Windows, it is recommended that you use the BSplayer and Quicktime player plugins. And for Mac Quicktime player is a must.
When I use Quicktime Player for watching Youtube videos in stand alone mode, I have a 3 band equalizer, variable speed playback options, the ability to play videos backward, pitch shift, audio leveler, and the ability to resize the video to whatever size I want. Does Flash Player have any of those settings. No! I didn't think so. Hahaha.
