One thing I like about the new format is that the blog feature actually works. Never could figure it out on the old one.
By way of introduction, I am 46, married 17 years to DH, with two son's - T age 14 and N age 11. Both sons have ADHD. T also has high functioning autism. I, myself, have bipolar disorder and I suspect that T does too. I mention all that about mental health because at the moment, managing it for the three of us (DH doesn't claim anything) takes significant effort. I will blog a lot about that.
I am a financial planner for a wealth management firm. I work a little more than part-time for a Christian boss. I don't get paid a whole lot, but I feel that what I do is valuable, and I have incredible flexibility to take care of my family during the day when I need to.
DH is my age, and works for a data storage provider. We met in our mid-20s at church - he was my first singing partner in a singles ensemble group. Someday, I'll write the story of how we came to get married.
As for my faith, I was saved in my tweens, fell away during college, and came back to church in my mid-20s (right around the time I met DH). My journey with bipolar disorder intersects my journey with my faith. I'll probably write some about that, too, in the future. We are in the Southern Baptist denomination.
I had a blog going on a mental illness support site. It was great because I could post about all our struggles with mental illness. But the site is not Christian specific, so you had people from all faiths and non-faiths, so no one really got the Christian stuff. I'm looking forward to blogging here instead.
