Well I reached week eleven...and I'm still on schedule and haven't missed a run yet. This week was good, the weather was cooperative (no rain and not much wind). My hips have been hurting, but ice wraps help (and ibuprofen). This week the long run moved up to a half marathon...thirteen miles. We ran it on a trail (like last week), but the worst part was that I forgot my ipod
. I have a really hard time running without the music. It helps me forget about what I'm doing and I'm not listening to myself breath. I twisted my ankle in a bicycle rut, and my achilles started hurting. The last 1/2 mile was brutal. But I made it through and am really looking forward to a shorter run next weekend (10 miles).
