Saturday, November 29, 2008, 7:49 a.m. – I read through the book of Malachi again this morning where the Lord had told me to STOP in the previous vision. As I read it, I realized this is about today and it is about the USA, in particular. Then, this song was in my head:
Praise You in This Storm / Mark Hall and Bernie Herms
I was sure by now, God You would have reached down
and wiped our tears away,
stepped in and saved the day.
But once again, I say amen
and it's still raining
as the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain,
"I'm with you"
and as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise
the God who gives and takes away.
And I'll praise you in this storm
and I will lift my hands
for You are who You are
no matter where I am
and every tear I've cried
You hold in your hand
You never left my side
and though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm
I remember when I stumbled in the wind
You heard my cry to You
and raised me up again
my strength is almost gone how can I carry on
if I can't find You
and as the thunder rolls…
I lift my eyes unto the hills
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth
I lift my eyes unto the hills
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth
Then, the Lord gave me THIS VISION: I saw knives and forks being taken out of a container and then thrown at us. Then, on my left, I saw a silhouette of a deer, but then it became a cow. The animal was facing the left (west) and had its front legs and body raised up off the ground, much like a horse does before it is ready to pounce on someone.
I was thinking about the previous vision STOP, and then this song came into my head:
Stop, and let me tell you what the Lord has done for me.
Stop, and let me tell you what the Lord has done for me.
He forgave my sin and he saved my soul.
He cleansed my heart and he makes me whole.
Stop, and let me tell you what the Lord has done for me.
Then, I heard a song that is one of those where the worship leader sings a phrase and then the people echo back:
I will wait
I will wait (echo)
I will wait for you
I will wait for you (echo)
Then, I saw a bull with horns and then something was attached to and was hanging in between the two horns and was swinging. I then realized it was like that old toy with a monkey in the middle attached in some way to two sides and when you squeezed the two sides, the monkey would do a flip or would swing back and forth. I also remembered that, as a child, I used to play a game called “Monkey in the Middle.”
Then, I heard the word “dunce,” like in those pointed head “dunce” caps that used to be worn by school children as a form of punishment and humiliation.
I then saw the face of and heard the name “Barack Obama.” I inquired of the Lord, and then I heard “slick,” and then “Slick Willie,” which is a reference to Bill Clinton.
Then I heard a reprise of “Praise You in this Storm,” and then this song came into my mind (by the Lord):
It Is Well with My Soul / H. G. Spafford / P. P. Bliss
When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
when sorrows like sea billows roll;
whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say,
It is well, it is well with my soul.
Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come,
let this blest assurance control,
that Christ has regarded my helpless estate,
and hath shed his own blood for my soul.
My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought!
My sin, not in part but the whole,
is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more,
praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!
And, Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight,
the clouds be rolled back as a scroll;
the trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend,
even so, it is well with my soul.
It is well with my soul,
it is well, it is well with my soul.
