Fallible

First, one must understand that the only sin there is involves putting our will ahead of the will of the Father, thus not loving all as self. Defining parts of sin are useless unless confronting the whole. All are the result of the same action. The Kingdom of servitude to others works contrary to the world man has made in our own image of self. There is no pick and choose, no gray area. We are capable of either way and often at the same time, the nature of man being dual.

Once we understand the default setting of man is one of self awareness, self interest, seeking gain at the expense of others while redefining good and evil to self justify our actions, we can then understand why all the woes of the world of man exist. Our animal instinct, no matter how refined, still seeks to serve self.

Once we understand that the other nature which is of God is kinder/gentler, is of give rather than take, we can more easily understand the division between man and God, the world of man and the Kingdom of God. A division that sadly the churches have neglected for the most part to emphasis.

We can come to understand how the troubles created by our self serving nature can be remedied by simply the stopping of serving self and focusing on what we can do for others. With this understanding it should be a clear choice of which way to live is better. A clear choice of God's will or our own, a clear choice that repentance (change of heart and mind) is in order.

We should be choosing God's will over our own, His Kingdom over this world of our own making and self governance of, servitude to others over selfishness. Repent means changing our values from self to selfless, from not using the ways of man to solve the problems of man but using the contrasting will of God to combat the destructive ways of man. His Kingdom come, His will be done in earth, not man's. His will is not a dictatorship over us, but rather the gift of a kind and gentle spirit.

It is easy to say 'put on Christ' but useless other than as theological gobbledegook if the two natures are not explained and people are not aware of the two systems, two wills, the two choices.

However, in being hybrids, just like a domesticated cat, we can still have our feral moments. It is in our instinctive animal nature and cannot be completely eradicated while still in this form. We are the animal we were before God domesticated us. We, over other animals, have self awareness which allows us to correct ourselves if we stumble, and we all will stumble just like a domesticated cat.

Being aware of what makes those moments feral gives us the opportunity to grow/combat those destructive self serving moments. If having chosen Kingdom over world of man, we are now able to have mini-repentances of each slip up and the ability to grow and learn from each mistake. It makes us stronger.

Jesus said no one is good, but we can chose which system to give our allegiance to and stand in support of. Not blindly, but with the ability to know of how one system is better than the other, and why.
