The Son of man comes in “cloud”….a cloud of witnesses…with power and great glory.
Luke 21:27 KJV
(27) And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
The 2 men in white apparel who stood by the disciples as Jesus was taken up were the 2 witness….Moses and Elijah….the Law and the Prophets. Jesus comes back in a “cloud”…the cloud of witnesses.
Acts 1:9-11 KJV
(9) And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
(10) And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
(11) Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
On the mountain at the Transfiguration, Moses and Elijah appeared with Him in glory. Jesus interprets the Scriptures to us in His glory….and we who are “heavy with sleep” are to “awake and see His glory and the “two men” who stand with Him….the Law and the Prophets.
Luke 9:28-35 KJV
(28) And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray.
(29) And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.
(30) And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias:
Moses and Elijah appeared in glory and spoke of His “decease”….that is, EXODUS. The “exit” is our exodus from those who are living in error of the Truth. Jesus interprets the Scriptures so that we might know our predicament that we are in when we are keeping company with those who are covetous. We are “asleep” in sins and trespasses and need to “awake” when we hear His knowledge.
(31) Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.
(32) But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him.
(33) And it came to pass, as they departed from him, Peter said unto Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias: not knowing what he said.
“Moses and Elijah” = the 2 witnesses = the law and the Prophets = the cloud of witnesses.
(34) While he thus spake, there came a cloud, and overshadowed them: and they feared as they entered into the cloud.
We are to take heed on how we hear as He opens up the Scriptures to our understanding.
(35) And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.
He sends His disciples out to preach that Word of Truth….and whoever hears them, hears Him that sent them.
Luke 10:16 KJV
(16) He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me.
We are to go forth…..EXODUS… unto Him without the camp while bearing His reproach. We are to come out of Babylon. We are to flee from the abomination of desolation…covetousness. We can not continue to worship with those who are living in error…who are living in envying, strife and hatred of one another which is brought on by the covetous “strange doctrines” of men.
Hebrews 13:9-17 KJV
(9) Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.
(10) We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle.
(11) For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp.
(12) Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.
(13) Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.
(14) For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.
(15) By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
(16) But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
The brothers are sent to preach the Word of Truth to those who will hear and obey….to come out from among their denominations of envy and strife.
(17) Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.
We shall suffer persecutions as we leave their denominations….but we shall gain 100 percent brothers and sisters in the gathering in the Truth.
Mark 10:29-31 KJV
(29) And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's,
(30) But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.
(31) But many that are first shall be last; and the last first.
All who will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution from our very own that we leave behind. But we are to continue in the things which we have learned and have been assured of knowing of Whom we have learned them…for it is Jesus who teaches us.
2 Timothy 3:12-14 KJV
(12) Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
(13) But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
(14) But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
They will think it “strange” that we will no longer participate in their idolatrous church gatherings. They will think it strange that we will no longer keep the doctrines and commandments of men that bring us into bondage. They will think it strange that we will no longer bow down to the images made like corruptible men.
Once we have “awakened” and see His glory, we are to no longer walk with them in the vanity of their mind. They will hear the Truth but will not believe in it…as their understanding is darkened…who shall turn from the hearing of the Truth and will give themselves over unto “lasciviousness” to work all uncleanness with greediness.
Ephesians 4:17-25 KJV
(17) This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
(18) Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
(19) Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
But we who will believe in what we will hear as His voice teaches us, shall put off the behavior of the “old man” of religion we once participated in. We were once perishing in our flesh because of the living to the deceitful lusts of the men in church who think that gain is godliness. We once were pursuing their lusts for bigger church buildings, bigger ministries, bigger congregations, greater glory of men, etc. We were once sold upon their desires for all of those things and we gave our time and money to them to help them build their kingdoms.
But now we give glory to God and not men who seek their glory from other men. We hear His voice and glorify Him and honor His authority over our own erroneous thoughts and ways which were a product of deceitful, religious-sounding men.
(20) But ye have not so learned Christ;
(21) If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:
(22) That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
(23) And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
(24) And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
(25) Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.
The kings of the Gentiles exercise dominion over those who are led astray by them. They that are great exercise their authority upon their subjects….as they will forbid many from receiving the brothers…representing the Son of man….who will come to preach the Truth to them.
Matthew 20:25-28 KJV
(25) But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.
(26) But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;
(27) And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:
(28) Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
Those who love to be FIRST among men will not receive the brothers who are sent to preach the Truth. They will exercise their authority over their subjects as they will forbid any one to receive the brothers and their message….to COME OUT from among them.
3 John 1:9-11 KJV
(9) I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not.
(10) Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church.
(11) Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.
The “man of sin”….the “beast”…will reveal himself as they will behave badly with malicious words as they will exercise their authority over their subjects. There will come a falling away……
2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 KJV
(3) Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
(4) Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
The great falling away will the time when the “Diotrepheses” of the churches will no longer use their tongues to flatter but shall prate against the preachers of the Truth with malicious words….with every unclean and hateful word. Those who will love to be first among the churches will rise up in their pride to speak evil of the preachers of the Truth. They will reveal themselves as the “man of sin” with an evil mouth. Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.
Revelation 18:1-5 KJV
(1) And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.
(2) And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
(3) For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
We are to come out from among them and be not partakers of their evil speaking….and of their plagues that shall come upon them for their iniquities.
(4) And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
(5) For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
