Even On The Death Bed

[FONT='Times New Roman','serif']What can we tell the sick in bed?
What can we say or do?
How can we help before they’re dead?
And give them hope anew

Tell them that death, is just a sleep
That life is like a race
This final hurdle we all must leap
Before we see God’s face

Bid them to try and understand
That death is just the door
That leads towards The Promised land
Where Christ has gone before

That if they now to Jesus turn
To Christ Salvation’s Lord
How quick The Truth they’d come to learn
How quick they’d flee death’s sword

That if they learn to understand
This world is just a test
That life will take them by the hand
And lead to endless rest

It matters not their life till now
What depth of sin they’ve trod
But if to Christ their knee they’d bow
They’ll find the grace of God

But if they think that God’s a lie
That Christ is just a tale
He cannot help them when they die
And so life’s test they’ll fail

They’ll failed The Way to set them free
The truth we have to tell
They’ll fail the face of God to see
