What can be told the sick in bed?
For people dying do?
How can we help before they’re dead?
To give them hope anew
Reveal that death, is but a sleep
Life’s like a proving race
This final hurdle we need to leap
Before we see God’s face
Propose they try to understand
That death is just the door
Leading into The Promised land
Where Christ has gone before
Explain when we to Jesus turn
To Heaven’s Lamb, The Lord
How quick The Truth they’d come to learn
How sinners flee the sword
From garret loft to mansion grand
This world is just a test
Where only those who live as planned
Will find eternal rest
Regardless of positions now
What depth of sin one’s trod
Only whose knee to Christ will bow
May find the grace of God
But if we think that God’s a lie
That Christ is just a tale
Grace cannot help us when we die
If when life’s test we fail
Failing to set our neighbours free
Failing life’s facts to tell
We too may fail God’s face to see
