Encouraged Today By Reading This

Genesis 18 speaks of when 3 men visited Abraham and they were given refreshment they asked where Sarah was. Sarah was in the tent and laughed silently when she heard she would have son.

The author of the book I'm reading made interesting 2 observations

1) She suggested that Sarah was disappointed with all that happened with Hagar and says the when we are intimately acquainted with disappointment we forget who we are and any talk of hope can hurt.

2) The Lord ask Sarah why she had laughed when Abraham was told they would had have a son. The writer is encouraged that Father God of the Everlasting Covenant, hears our silent cries and assures us of His love and care for us in that, he sees when we laugh and hide in times of pain and sees our silent weeping.
