Concerning Jacob’s wrestling with the Angel,* the pre-Incarnate Christ:

Wrestle me , in the caverns of my heart,
reveal how election wounds by choosing to impart
a lesson learned, when you let us strive
to understand your ways.
We crouch to grasp but only because
you show up to bout and save.
