Throughout the years so much has changed
The truth is seldom told
Mankind the church has so deranged
Even the bride grows cold
Stagnant, God’s child can sit and rot
In church on hallowed ground
Though God is there, so oft He’s not
Allowed to make a sound
Where man alone in church can speak
Where man the rules have laid
The flock inside grows sadly weak
And seen from Christ to fade
The Holy Ghost cannot be heard
His name alone spreads fear
Oh yes, they read and preach God’s word
But who in there; can hear?
In seven churches Jesus stood
Who thought that they were sound
Yet Christ found none of them was good
Not one was Heaven bound
From seven! God has long in sight
An eighth from them to form
To whom He’ll give His Liquid Light
His power to calm the storm
Come out from where they’re still asleep
Come from the walking dead
Come in where calves who long to leap
Are through God’s Spirit fed
Who still refuse can stay behind
But those in Christ rejoice
Allow the blind to lead the blind
For they have made their choice…PTO…
